From Past Retreaters
“Leah, thank you so much for bringing this trip and lifestyle into my life, you made meditation seem easy, accessible and important to me and I’m so grateful for how I feel after this retreat! I came for the workout-vacation and was shocked how much I needed the meditation. The Best Trip Ever.”
- Lauren Sill, LA Hairstylist
“I went in with no expectation - besides exploring a new part of the world while getting some tools to cope better and release past pains. What I ended up getting was an amazing release from trauma while making new lifelong friendships in the most beautiful setting in the world. I’m no amateur and it takes a ton to impress me and I can’t stop singing their praises. Paul and Leah led us though an experience and curated an adventure that including excursions that not only bonded us all further but opened us up to reveal more than we would have on our own. This retreat was so well planned that we didn’t have to worry about anything, in an entirely different culture and language. They made us all so comfortable with each other and ourselves that it led to breakthroughs for each and every participant. I ended up staying longer and traveling with my new friends and have already made plans with them all now at home! We became so close and did so many incredible new things and still had time for lectures, yoga, meditation and breathwork.
Therapy doesn’t do what this week did. Do yourself a favor and follow these incredible teachers to any country and let them break you open and teach you how to heal your wounds and live the better life you deserve. This is the gift to yourself that will keep on giving. I promise.”

Leah Santa Cruz
“When I first met Leah, I felt like I’d known her forever with her wide smile and open warmth. I’ve been meditating for 10 years on my own, but Leah brought in new ways to meditate and changed up my practice - it’s definitely enhanced my daily experience.
She’s a cool nerd with all the wisdom she brings from her experience, the books she’s read and the many great teachers she’s studied with. She’s an eternal student herself and her teaching style is so effortless and heartfelt. Leah introduced me to my best self and shares so much of her own story that it helps you brave sharing your own.”
- Lauren, Los Angeles
Leah’s a Meditation Teacher and Intimacy Coach who empowers people with practical tools to free themselves from stress and have more loving, fulfilling relationships.
With a degree in psychology and neuroscience, followed by a decade-long, fast-paced career for Microsoft and startups - she used meditation, yoga and mindfulness to pull herself out of burn-out.
Since then, Leah’s been mentored by world-class master teachers: Lorin Roche, Ph.D, Mark Whitwell and Steve Ross. Her work with the Balance Meditation app have allowed her meditations to reach millions of people around the world.
Paul Teodo
“Paul’s the first yoga teacher I’ve experienced who actually laughs and smiles as he’s kicking your ass, to the point where you forget that you’re sweating and doing more than you thought you were capable of. Then he takes out the guitar and the sound healing begins. He’s a badass athlete that makes anyone want to push a little more and go a little deeper without any pressure. I’m not sure how he even does it. He truly cares about every person and every variation for every student. He has a range of classes, from yin to slow flow to sweaty. This guy has the goods and you can’t help but show up for any class he’s teaching. His spirit shines through and I loved working with him daily!”
- Lauren, Los Angeles
Paul teaches a variety of classes including power yoga, vinyasa flow, yin-yang and yin classes with emphasis on alignment and breath. He offers variations for students at all levels. During the class, he teaches mindfulness as well as physical asana. With uplifting music his classes are fun and challenging. Yoga and meditation improved every aspect of his life, and helped him overcome issues with depression and anxiety. Being more awake is a gift this practice gives us, and Paul passes on all he’s learned along his path to his students.
Paul studied under YogaWorks, senior trainers David Kim and Jesse Schein, Sara Ivanhoe, Travis Eliot and Dr. Lorin Roche.
Rachel Zitin
“A great tour guide is very much like a great teacher. They must have the knowledge, passion, and people skills to make the learning experience not only educational but memorable. They’ll inspire you to fall in love with the subject. So we really lucked out when we got Rachel as our tour guide. She has all the qualities of [that one] teacher that all the students love. She was very adept at tuning the tour to our interests and needs. When the guide isn't in tune with the group then the experience is only as good as watching a documentary. Rachel left us with an even richer experience and a great appreciation for Rome...”
- Ruth L, Seattle, WA
Rachel’s a professional tour guide as well as yoga and meditation teacher in Rome, Italy. Originally from North Carolina, she moved to Rome in 2009 and has fallen more and more in love with travel, tourism, and the magic of the Mediterranean. After many years of tour-guiding by day and practicing yoga by night, her heart pulled her to teaching. In 2018 she became a 200-RYT Yoga Teacher through Zuna Yoga in Bali (where she met Leah and Paul!). Since then, her life’s changed and unfolded in magical ways! Rachel has a knack for getting people to laugh, love, enjoy, relax and be comfortable during their travels. She’s a living embodiment of her two passions of yoga and travel, and excels in showing people more magic, history and wonder.
